FAQ- How can I tell if my message
went out?

One of the most frequently asked questions on PUBRADIO is . . . why don't I receive a copy of my postings to
PUBRADIO?

Answer: the standard listserv set-up (listserv is a computer program on the Boise State University mainframe which operates
PUBRADIO) is configured for you NOT to receive your messages. The assumption is you know what you sent.

However, several participants have expressed a desire to at least receive a confirmation that their posting was actually
received and distributed by PUBRADIO. If you fall into this camp, here's what you should do: .

Send e-mail to this address:

listserv@listserv.boisestate.edu

Subject: ACK (subject is optional)

In the body of your message type this command, exactly like this:

set pubradio ack

Do not say "thanks" or anything else. Your message is being read by a very expensive (but very dumb) computer, and we all
know it has no sense of humor.

From this point forward, you will receive an acknowledgement of every PUBRADIO message you post -- giving you the
exact date and time your message was distributed to the PUBRADIO membership.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

If you would prefer to actually see the text of all of your pubradio postings, here are your instructions:

send e-mail to: listserv@listserv.boisestate.edu

subject: REPRO (subject is optional)

In the body of your message, type these words in this exact order:

set pubradio repro

Do not say "thanks" or anything else -- just send the message. From this point on, your complete pubradio posting text will
be distributed to you, just like it is distributed to the nearly 600 other PUBRADIO participants.
